The National Broadband Network (NBN) will have a profound influence on Australian libraries.

This site is a place for any stakeholder to share information, discuss ideas and develop actions for the Australian library community to take.

I have a professional internet in the NBN. I am the Coordinator of Information and Digital Services at CityLibraries Townsville. The Aitkenvale branch library was the first public library in Australia to be connected to the NBN.

I have a personal interest in the NBN. I live in the suburb of Aitkenvale in Townsville, one of the first five mainland rollout sites of the NBN and my house is connected to the NBN via fibre optic cable.

I live and work on the web, and so have a keen interest in how this new infrastructure project will change the way we live and work.
